Transportation-related anxiety and trauma require specialized understanding. At the Transportation Psychology Institute, our work integrates trauma-informed psychotherapy and transportation safety research to provide focused, informed care within this distinct area of practice.
At the Transportation Psychology Institute, treatment is grounded in clinical precision, research-informed practice, and a deep respect for the nervous system’s role in trauma and anxiety.
We believe transportation-related fears are adaptive responses that can be recalibrated with the right therapeutic approach.
Our work is structured, experiential, and individualized. We focus on resolving the root of anxiety while building measurable confidence in real-world driving and travel situations.
Transportation Psychology Institute was founded at the intersection of clinical trauma treatment and automotive safety research — two paths that have shaped my professional life.
My early career focused on automotive crash research and injury analysis. I later pursued advanced clinical training, earning a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Monmouth University with Academic Honors. Since 2010, I have worked across nonprofit agencies, schools, and private practice, specializing in trauma-informed care.
I am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist and have completed advanced training in:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Clinical Hypnotherapy
My work remains grounded in both research and real-world application. In addition to clinical practice, I serve as a CAISS Injury Analyst with NHTSA’s Crash Investigation Sampling System (CISS), integrating crash data analysis with psychological insight to inform a comprehensive understanding of trauma and recovery.
Therapy with me is structured, calm, and collaborative. I approach treatment with clarity and focus, helping clients resolve stored trauma responses, strengthen nervous system regulation, and gradually restore confidence in driving and travel.
The goal is not simply symptom management — but renewed freedom of movement and greater ease in daily life.
